New Beginnings

Birth. Death. Marriage. Divorce. Promotion. Termination. Homeless. Housed.
Life is full of transitions—some joyful, some heartbreaking, and all deeply human.

Most of us walk through these changes with the support of family, friends, or a safety net we often take for granted. But what happens when tragedy strikes and there’s no one to lean on? When the bottom falls out and you find yourself without a home—how do you even begin to survive, much less rebuild?

Imagine trying to figure out where to sleep tonight. Wondering when you’ll eat again. Trying to navigate the world without transportation, without medical care, without even a place to rest. In that place, how does anyone “just get a job” or “pull themselves up by their bootstraps”?

The truth is, many of the things we say—however well-intentioned—can come from a place of comfort and distance. “I worked hard for what I have, why should I give it away?” We believe that when we’ve been given stability, opportunity, and resources, it’s not just a privilege—it’s a responsibility to use them to help others. Perhaps you feel the same way.

New beginnings aren’t just personal milestones—they’re also opportunities to extend grace, community, and hope to those who need it most.

You can be part of someone’s new beginning.
