I am beyond excited about our upcoming charter bus trip to Austin! I could talk all day about our plans for Community Forever Village in Denton, but words can’t fully capture the peace and sense of belonging that this community will provide.
Having spent nearly four months living in a tiny home in Austin, I saw firsthand how this community transforms lives. I met incredible people—formerly homeless neighbors, who found stability, purpose, and friendship. I witnessed the power of living in community, how it saved many from the dangers of life on the streets. Yes, there were challenges—disagreements, bad actors, and some who realized this life wasn’t the right fit for them. But through it all, the peace and stability of the village remained.
That’s why we are committed to bringing this model to Texas. Here in Denton County, countless individuals struggle to find safe, affordable housing. But even if enough housing existed, many would still need critical wrap-around services to remain housed and rebuild their lives.
At Community Forever Village we will welcome the chronically homeless with few limitations, meet them where they are, and offer a path to transformation—if they choose it. Our approach starts with housing first, followed by medical care, mental health support, addiction recovery, and dignified work opportunities. We are committed to providing the resources each person needs to thrive.
But we can’t do this alone. It will take all of us—our time, our treasure, our prayers, and most importantly, our unconditional love for our neighbors in need.
Will you join us?
